Match Report – Under 14 – Round 2, 2018

U14 Boys – Bayswater vs Kilsyth.

This week we came up against the old enemy in Kilsyth. Again a slow start to the game really put pressure on the boys to fight hard and dig deep to get themselves back into the game. Luckily Kilsyth missed a few shots and which kept us right in it.

Start of the third quarter it looked like Kilsyth were going to run away with a big win but to the boys credit they started winning the ball around the contest and gave Kilsyth no options when they got the ball, which cause turnovers and luckily enough we were about to make them pay on the scoreboard.

Going into the last we had the momentum and got within 2 point after being 30 odd points down in the third quarter but unfortunately Kilsyth got one and gained the momentum back to put us away with the final result a pretty big losing margin in the end.

Again we will learn from our mistakes, get to training and work hard and results will start going our way. We are building some really good traits to becoming a really good side, we just got to keep learning and building from it.

Its really important over the next couple of weeks that we get that early scoreboard pressure and not make us use extra energy trying to get back into the game.

  • Bayswater 5.12.42
  • Kilsyth 11.10.76
