Match Report – Under 16 Girls – Round 4, 2018

U16 Girls – Rowville Knights vs Bayswater.

Today we travelled to Rowville and we were very short in numbers. Thank you to Chaya and Charlie from the U14 girls who helped fill-in. Darcy to the field (despite being injured) for the first quarter until the U14 girls could attend. We also had to borrow some players from Rowville to even up the sides.

Emily P played very well and continues to play with injuries to her fingers. Other players continued to play well including Rhian, Jaslyn, Emma, Catlin and Alanna to name just a few.

The kicking has improved as well the girls are taking more marks and we are starting to see consecutive moves forward towards our goal. There was some good sheperding as well as some good tackles.

Our girls continued to play right up to the end.

Injuries continue to hit our girls with Holley today having to leave the field.

Thank you to our Runner Tori and our water boy and girl Aden, Summer-lee. Our goal umpire Alan, Umpire Escort Shane, Boundary Umpire Lochlon, Assistant Coach Andrew, Trainer Craig and Mandy our Team Manager.

We are looking forward to the redraw of the fixture this week which should put us against sides more simular to our own abilities.
