Match Report – Under 13 – Round 5, 2018
U13 Boys – Vermont Eagles vs Bayswater.
We played Vermont away and after coming off 2 great wins over the past 2 weeks its fair to say confidence was high and the belief was getting stronger.
We were celebrating Tommy and Jaydo’s 50th game and we couldn’t have asked for a better start. The 1st quarter saw us kick 3 goals, we were dominating the play, winning the ball first and sticking to our team rules. We kept Vermont goal less for the quarter which was pleasing, our backline stayed strong and were very defensive.
The 2nd quarter was pleasing, we were still hard at it, but dropped off with our tackling pressure. We only managed to kick 1 goal for the quarter.
After half time the boys started the 3rd quarter off really well, kicking a goal early in the quarter, we kept Vermont goal less again which meant our back 6 with the help of our mids were all working hard together.
The last quarter we really put the foot down and kicked another 3 goals, re-enforcing that our last quarters have been extremely strong and we finish of the games the way we start them.
We went on to win the game by 31pts.
