Match Report – Under 16 Girls – Round 7, 2018

As our girls had a bye for Round 7, we decided to take a break from football, and try something different: the Escape Rooms at Eastland. Decked out in team colours, most of us met at Bayswater station, and there was plenty of banter during our short train trip to Ringwood. Once we got our bearings, the group fueled up on KFC and then walked up the stairs to the Playtime arcade.

We split into two teams. Ez, Caitlin, Darcy and Rhian along with Craig, Aidyn and myself entered the “Pharaoh’s Curse” room. Chloe, Alanna, Emily CT and Talia along with Brooke, Tori and Mandy tackled the “Blackbeard’s Cabin” room. We were given a quick briefing by staff, before being led with our eyes closed to each room and locked inside. Each group had a series of puzzles to solve, where the answer to each puzzle gave a clue to the next puzzle, until eventually we were able to escape the room. We could request clues if we got stuck for too long. Ez’s team managed to escape just ahead of Chloe’s team (although Chloe’s team were in the room which was rated slightly more difficult). A quick train ride saw us back in Bayswater, and on to round up.

The final score saw our girls defeating the Escape Rooms 2-0.

Thanks to Brooke and Craig who stuck around to help out, Tori and Aidyn who joined in the fun, and Mandy who helped organise the day.
