Match Report – Under 14 Girls – Round 9, 2019

U14 Girls – Forest Hill vs Bayswater

Today we played Forest Hill at their ground.

I was freezing cold and there was a fog over the ground which made it hard to see at the start of the game.

We gave them 4 players each quarter to even up the numbers and play 17 on each side.

We started a little slow and we didn’t attack the ball as hard as we needed to. The first half of the first quarter was pretty even but we were able to find a few cracks in their game in the second part of the quarter to allow us to get some goals on the board. From there, our confidence lifted and we started to control the game. Our link up handballs were really good which resulted in goals.

There were some good individual efforts but as a team, there are a couple of things we need to work on to get a better team result. As usual, they all tried hard for 4 quarters which was very pleasing. Well done to all.
