Match Report – Under 17 – Round 14, 2019
U17 – FTG Gold vs Bayswater
Our last game or the season Friday night under lights. The boys were all fired up and ready to go after last weeks win, and wanting to finish on a high.
We had most of the play in the first quarter but went into the break 8 points down. Both teams kicked 2 goals each in the second and we were 10 points down at half time.
The boys came out harder in the third quarter and put on 4 goals to 1 goal. You could see in there eyes they wanted this win because this would be the last time all these boys would play
together.
They came out in the last quarter and gave everything they had left. They attacked the ball, applied pressure and moved the ball quick. In the end it was to much for the opposition to handle. We kicked 3.1 to no score in the final quarter which resulted in our highest score for the season.
What a great way to finish off the season with back to back wins. Well done boys it was a fantastic team effort everyone contributed, and the best players for the game were the whole TEAM.
