U8s Mixed Rd10 Match Report…

Round 10 vs Knox/Endeavour Hills

The kids were pumped to be back on the field after the lockdown break and we had a full squad for the two games. The two captains for the day were Brodie and Caleb who each displayed excellent leadership in their respective games. The focus for the game was to just go out and enjoy kicking the footy and have fun.  

The coaches have noticed more instances of teamwork as the season progresses and it is great to see high fives after goals and looking sideways to share the ball instead of long bombs. The kids are now well and truly familiar with one another and comfortable yelling for the ball.

It is also encouraging to see the kick apply more defensive pressure of the opposition when they have the ball (high hands and getting in between the player and their goal). Congratulations to Heath who kicked his first goal of his footy career.
