Match Report – Under 14 Girls – Round 4, 2018
U14 Girls – Waverley Blues vs Bayswater.
We travelled out to Pinewood reserve, the sun was shining & we were looking forward to a good game.
Within a minute or so we had our first score on the board & the girls came out determined.
The girls were displaying some tough tremendous pressure & the other side were throwing some arms about, but I encouraged the girls to just keep focussed on the game.
The scoreboard was facing the opposite direction & I had no idea how much we were up by, but I knew we were up.
At half time there were some very sore Bayswater girls, one with a slight head knock who wasn’t feeling 100% so we kept her off the field & had to shuffle players around to positons they had not played it.
But they came out even more determined & they played like little champions, winning 5.3 33 to 0.2 2
We belted out our song, during this time I got some dust in my eye.
Super proud of this group of girls who never gave up, even though they were hurting & tired.
Best on Ground: The entire team for playing as a team, helping each other out & having fun…
