Match Report – Under 14 – Round 1, 2018

U14 Boys – Rowville Knights vs Bayswater.

Coming into Round 1 you never know what to expect. To make it even more interesting we had the beautiful luxury of wet weather football.

Over the preseason we have really worked on the contested ball and working our way out of traffic by hand. We were a bit off in the first quarter probably due to weather conditions and an over excited group and at this level no matter the opposition they are going to make you pay and Rowville Knights did that. But like always best thing is we learn from it and move on quickly and try not to let it happen again.

The next 3 quarters we worked really well into the game and in the 3rd quarter we started really hitting that great football and standard we expect from the guys. They were hard at the footy, shared the ball around and played at a high intensity.
Unfortunately we lost the game in a close one once again but like any Round 1 game we had plenty of positives and plenty of things to work on for the season.

  • Rowville Knights 4.6.30
  • Bayswater 4.2.26
