Match Report – Under 16 Girls – Round 3, 2018

U16 Girls – Bayswater vs Ringwood East 2.

Today we played against some former players from last year who were at Bayswater. This brought some friendly rivalry between the girls.

The girls played a lot better today and we kicked our first scores for the season. Emma was running in towards goal (leading everyone) and kicked the ball from a long distance. This made our first score for the season. Although we only scored 3 behinds for the game we have shown that we have potential and what we can do. Some of these behinds could have easily been goals and it was great to see. Tahlia played very well today and took her first mark. Emily CT played the best game I’ve seen her play, following on from last week’s game.

In addition today we had some new girls in our team Jade and Rhian and they are both a welcome addition to our team with a great attitude, and work ethic. Let’s give them a big welcome.

Injuries to our players continue to hamper our results and with only the minimum number of players any injuries have large consequences. On a positive note Holley was cleared to play after last week and performed well.

Our girls battled hard again right to the end and didn’t give up. Well done to all the girls.

Injury list
Emily P on going hand injury. Darcy with back injuries. Erin had a back injury during this game and we hope she recovers quickly.

Thank you to all who helped in this round.

U16 Girl’s Coach
