Match Report – Under 8 Gold – Round 6, 2018

U8 Boys – Bayswater Gold vs Lysterfield Teal.

Bayswater under 8s gold played Lysterfield Teal on Sunday in a great game of junior footy.

With only 9 players compared to 15 for Lysterfield we “borrowed” 2 players from the opposition and took the field.

Despite still having less players on the field than Lysterfield the boys were able to get plenty of the ball and score regularly.

Taking what we have been working on at training into the game everyone on the team was getting involved and by looking for a team mate to pass to rather than just kicking forward our last quarter in particular was very impressive.

Some of the days highlights included Noah scoring our fist goal, Owen running down the wing time and time again, Billy and Martin both starting to gain confidence with Martin having a great last qtr and of course who can forget the outstanding goal celebrations by Dustin.

A great performance by everyone on the day and with everyone showing improvement week to week.

Can’t wait for the next game.
