U18 Girls Rd1 Match Report…
Round 1 vs Montrose.
A cold, rainy and windy day heralded the start to the 2021 footy season, as we took on Montrose on the wide expanses of the Bayswater Senior Oval.
Before the game, we announced our captains (Sienna and Jocelyn) and leadership group (Paige, Em P, Scarlett & Viveca), and acknowledged 50 games for Chenoa (with the best shiner ever) and Em P. It was also Jess’ first ever game.
There were glimpses of good play, and we slowed them down in the last quarter. Pleasingly, nobody dropped their heads, and we fought to the end.
Unfortunately, Montrose were far too good for us, winning the game 18.21-129 to 0.0-0.
Better players for us on the day were Tahlia, Rhian, Jocelyn, Jaslyn, Paige, Sienna
