U14 Boys Rd5 Match Report…

Round 5 V North Ringwood – 8/5

Another tough day at the office for our Under 14 boys, with a low count of players being exacerbated by poor James copping a ball to the nose in the warm-up, and the ensuing flow of blood meaning he had to miss the first quarter! He toughed it out really well, though, and gave us his all for the remaining three.

Not much to say about this game again – we were outplayed and outbodied by a bigger, better side all day. The effort yet again was high class, though, with special mention to Oscar (who’s became a ‘swing man’ and will play anywhere for us), Sean (in his first game) with his chasing and tackling, and Campbell who had a super last quarter, attacking the contest and the ball from the back pocket. We also had the usual big efforts from Owen, Jackson and Corey, but North Ringwood were too good. But for our boys to fight it out with 15 or 16 against 18 was brilliant.
