Round 11 – home vs Ferntree Gully

Today we played Ferntree Gully on the Bayswater senior ground.

Playing on the bigger ground with only 15 on the field , we knew it was going to be hard game.

We start the game pretty well but we just couldn’t get the goals on the board. Late in the first quarter, Ferntree Gully kicked a couple of goals to take the lead.

We didn’t play well at all in the second quarter allowing the opposition to kick 5 goals to our 0.

They got a bit of a rev up at half time and played much better in the third quarter but still we were out scored due to them be able to break free a couple of times. We were going pretty well in the last quarter until 1 of our players was concussed in a tackle and the game was called. Fortunately our played is ok now.

Overall, Ferntree Gully were harder at the ball than us and supported each other more than us and they ran your winners 70-10. A few things for us to work on.
