Match Report – Under 14 Girls – Round 12, 2019
U14 Girls – Bayswater vs Ferntree Gully
Today we played Upper Ferntree Gully at home.
The ground was in good condition after the rest it got during the week and the weather was awesome.
They were a little short on players so I was going to send a couple of players over each quarter but 2 min before the start of the game they said
the had 16 and seemed pretty keen to not have any of our players so we had 5 on the bench which just meant a few more rotations to get everyone a fair go.
We started off pretty strong and drove the ball forward. We controlled most of the first quarter but our kicking for goal wasn’t great so kicked a lot of points.
In the second quarter we were good again. Our forwards presented well and our pressure around the ball was really good resulting in us winning the ball and driving it forward. We made a lot of changes but everyone stood up and played their part.
We continued in the second half and we won comfortably. Our pressure and attack of the ball has definitely improved.
Good to see the girls play well for all 4 quarters. The score was 76-1.
