U16 Girls Rd12 Match Report…

Round 12 – away vs Heathmont

Today we played Heathmont at their home ground.

We started the game ok but Heathmont were just doing the little things better than us which had them have an early lead at quarter time. The next 2 quarters were pretty much the same so at 3 quarter time they maintained their lead. I put it to them at 3 quarter time that only they could change how we were playing and they definitely lifted and we had more of the ball in the last quarter. The goals were hard to come by but we finally managed to get a couple of goals and winning by 7 points.

It was far from a good game from our girls but to their credit, they never gave up and they finished the game strong.

We definitely need to work harder on the little things to improve our performance and we need all the girls on the same page so we move forward as 1.
