Round 13 – home vs Glen Waverley Rovers

Today we played Glen Waverley Rovers at home.

It was an awesome day for footy and the girls love playing at home.

During the week we spoke of some simple things we need to improve and we spoke about it again before the game. This was going to set the standard of support they needed for each other for the girls to play well.

From the first bounce, the girls were switched on and you could see it straight away in the way they were playing.

They manned up better, the talk was good and shepherding and supporting each other was right up where it needed to be.

We had an awesome first quarter and we continued that form for all 4 quarters. At times when the opposition had the ball, the girls worked hard to put pressure on them to turn the ball over.

We shared the ball around well and used our body to protect and get the ball.

I think our best 4 quarter game for the year.

We won 81-10.

Goals- Cassie 2, Indah 2, Maddie 2, Georgie 2, Matilda, Rhani, Tara.

Best- the whole team with these girls leading the way, Beth, Georgie, Maddie, Mia, Taylah, Tara, Cassie, Ruby, Claire, Indah.
